My fiancee and I will be traveling through Scotland next week. Any interesting events going on that we should check out?

We'll be passing through Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Skye.

Check out The List for a, er, list of things going on in Glasgow and Edinburgh. You can pick it up in newsagents for £1.50 or so. I think you just miss the end of Aye Write! More's the pity, it'a usually got great writers giving talks at the Mitchell library in Glasgow (which is worth a visit in it's own right, festival or not).

Yeah, a copy of The List is your best bet.

If you like art, off the top of my head, these are the best shows on at the moment. In Glasgow: Craig Mulholland's two part show at Glasgow School of Art and Sorcha Dallas, Torsten Lauschmann at the Gallery of Modern Art, Maximilian Zentz Zlomovitz at Mary Mary. In Edinburgh: Tony Swain & Chris Evans at Inverleith House (a gallery in the lovely Botanic Gardens), and the group show at Doggerfisher.
