Question: How do I get email notification of changes/additions/deletions to a Google Calendar?

How do I get email notification of changes/additions/deletions to a Google Calendar?

I realize Google provides some notification support, namely, related to invitations, reminders, and a daily agenda. What I am looking for, though, is a way to set up email notifications for whenever events are added, changed, or removed in a calendar.

I don't think Google provides a way of doing this via the website, but I'm wondering if anyone has looked into doing this via a calendar feed or with the API.

I've checked the Google Group for Google Calendar and didn't find anything.

There's an RSS feed associated with your calendar (under settings), and there are several ways to dump rss feeds to email. Lifehacker covers two of them here.

Note that the RSS to email service may not give immediate notification, as it likely only polls the RSS feed every so often (anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours, depending on the service)

Hmm, any way to get a private feed for a calendar? I don't really like the idea of making my personal calendar open to the public -- but it seems that's the only way to get a feed url.

Each calendar has a private feed on the Calendar details page at the bottom. You want the XML one.
