Tally of cycle types in a permutation group

Anyone good with GAP? I've defined a largish permutation group and would like to make a tally of elements by cycle type - how many of each cycle type occurs in the group. Possible? Trivial? Use something else instead? Oh, and where's the right place to ask GAP questions?

There's a GAP forum.
The GAP website also refers to the Group-pub-forum for discussing group theory.
