iMovie editing question

iMovie help! Crunch project and I did RTFM but am confused . . .

I recorded a 4min video clip of me talking with iSight and I've extracted the audio track. I've added about 12 images to the movie project but can't for the life of me figure out how to insert the photos so there's the video of me then a photo then the video of me talking and then another photo, etc.

Think Ze Frank-style.

I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious and would be ever so grateful for some help. I have to run to a meeting but will be back in a couple hours to dig into this project again.

I believe what you need to do is split the video at the appropriate places, then you can drag your stills in. Place the playhead where you want the split and Command-T, IIRC.

Oops, not in the latest iteration, apparently. But something similar to that...maybe Split Clip in the Edit menu?

Yeah, you need to break up the movie into pieces, then insert the images inbetween with no transitions.
