i'm looking for the lyrics to an old big band number
'farewell blues' that always seems to be recorded as an instrumental.
my grandfather passed away this past weekend and it's finally given me the impetus to digitize his old 78s. the only song he has more than one recording of is 'farewell blues' written by elmer schoebel, paul mares and leon rappolo. between the title, his owning two versions of it, and my grandfather's death i'm suddenly really interested in finding the lyrics for this one. please help a grieving grandson in his quest for closure/meaning/whatever.
