Hosiery shops in NYC

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can purchase quality hosiery in NYC?

I will be heading to NYC and want to find a few shops who carry quality hosiery, garters and garter belts. Are there any brick and morter shops who can assist, explain and demonstrate how to use this kind of accessory?

Town Shop on the Upper west side is full of experienced salespeople who know all about undergarments. I would recommend them highly. If you want something supe sexy, I'd suggest La Petite Coquette near Union Square.

Both stores have very "hands on" salespeople who will poke their heads into your changing room to see what you have on and help you fix it, so don't be surprised when that happens. That is probably good for you though, if you have questions.

I haven't been to the store itself, but Fogal products are fantastic - pricey, but worth it:

As a Brit, I have to recommend Wolford in Soho. High quality, high price, but nothing but hosiery!

Love the Town Shop. Get a bra fitting while you are there.
