Is there anywhere to watch live NHL hockey in Oxford?

On Saturday there are afternoon NHL games in North America, which means during standard pub opening hours in the UK. Anywhere that shows some of the games? Alternately, does some Canadian/American expat group organize a screening?

You could email the Canadian Society at Oxford University. They probably have good info. cansoc@herald.ox.ac.uk.

I was going to suggest the same as modernnomad, here is the cansoc web site. It says they orgnized a superbowl party, but hey, maybe they could be brought back into the fold.

You just missed the Varsity (Oxford vs. Cambridge) match tonight at the rink on Oxpens Road. Apparently both teams are mostly Canadian, so I'm sure you'd have met someone there with some advice. It seems that was the last game of the season, but maybe drop them a line and make some contacts who will be able to help you out.

(By the way, according to my French Canadian PhD supervisor, who was in attendance, Oxford won 8-2.)

I was at the Varsity game... yeah, Oxford was pretty dominating, but the refereeing was questionable at best. (disclosure -- I am a current Oxford grad student).
