How can I get a copy of Isobelle Carmody's "The Stone Key"?

So, my girlfriend is apparently into this series of fantasy books by Carmody. I don't really know anything about them since fantasy is not my cup of tea, but she apparently has read them since she was a kid. I guess a new one was released in January, called "The Stone Key". She can't buy it in Canada, apparently, and I'd like to get her a copy if I can.

It does not seem to be available online outside Australia in all the places I have looked. My girlfriend is currently in Toronto, but I am in Oxford right now, so if anyone knows of someway to get a copy shipped to either of those locations, that would be great. Actually, even shipping to the US would be fine too.

For the record, I tried amazon.ca, amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, and blackwells (both online and in the shop). So far, no luck.

Thanks!

I checked this old thread about online australian bookstores, and bookworm delivers internationally and appears to have it in stock. If that doesn't work, try some of the other suggestions in that thread.

QBD, suggested bookstore from the Camody Online website, supposedly ships worldwide.

Those are both excellent... however the shipping to Canada costs more than the actual book, so if anyone knows of a Canadian or US retailer with it, that would be gold.

Thanks again.

Have you checked your local bookstores? They usually offer to order the book if it's not in stock.

My girlfriend is in a similar predicament. We are expatriate Australians living in the UK, and she has been waiting over a decade for the next book in this series to come out.

She still hasn't received it, but is hoping to cajole her sister to buy it and send it to her.

But yes, very frustrating. Bookbutler is unable to find it in any European bookstore.

Googling the ISBN number for the book returns only Australian (and one NZ) retailers. I would call your local Border's or Barnes and Noble's with the book's ISBN number and ask them to order it for you.

Yea, unfortunately, the book itself weighs over a kilo, so you're looking at AU$30 for the book and AU$20 even to ship it by sea to the UK/Canada/US.
