Question: don't think I want to google "sex in a cemetery"...

i have forgotten the title of this young adult book I read a few years ago...

I think the main character's name was Tina. She had a twin brother (named Tim, I think?) who had died when they were 7. The story centers around her relationship with a boy named Simon (I'm pretty sure) who eventually dumps her, revealing that he was only using her for sex. She attempts an overdose and ends up in hospital.

other minor details
- I think her sister's name was Jan.
- I remember something to do with puppies in a shop, and I think he gives her a sweater at some point.
- I think at some point they have sex in or near a cemetery.

Have tried googling but haven't found anything. It wasn't a great book or anything but it is driving me crazy so I am hoping someone out there knows what book I'm talking about! :)

I can't help you, but I may know of someone who can. Lelia Roy is a librarian who loves YA lit. She blogs about it and other good reads at her blog, Bookshelves of Doom.

You could try searching her site to see if she mentions it, based on what you know...:) Or email her and pretty-please ask if she knows what you're talking about.

Good luck! I HATE it when I can't remember a book title. I changed my settings at the library to no longer store my check-out info (a nose-thumbing option directed at the Patriot Act) and sometimes I'm really tempted to turn the option back on for the very reason you have here.
