Has anyone had experience with the Highlands Ability Battery aptitude tests?

My son will graduate from from his liberal arts college this spring with a degree in English. We just got a letter informing us the school is offering the Highlands Ability Battery testing. They don't specify, but it appears the testing and report costs about about $500. Before I even raised this subject with him, I thought I'd survey Mefi for first-hand experience with this testing and counseling.

No experience with that particular testing, but I did the testing that Johnson O'Connor offers (jocrf.org) and wish I had done so much sooner (i.e. before college, rather than halfway through).
