So people say that this McCain lobbyist story could destroy his Presidential aspirations. What happens if it all turns out to be true and he cannot be the nominee? What happens then?

A. This is chatfilter.

And B: There is nothing illegal about being in bed (literally or figuratively) with a lobbyist. Therefore there is no reason to recall McCain, or reshuffle the electorate. If McCain suffers from this "scandal" at all it will be at the polls in November.

Nothing would prevent him from being the nominee. He might get less votes because of a scandal or might quit the race, but no law says he has to. Huckabee has the most delegates beside McCain, so he would be the likely nominee.
