Use Mac / PC Guitar Hero controller on PS2?

Is there any way to use to guitar controller for the Mac / PC version of Guitar Hero III on a PS2? There seem to be plenty of PS2 -> USB adapters out there - anything that goes the other way?

It would have to be a device specifically for converting a USB GH controller to PS2, which I doubt exists. Going the other way, the hardware manufacturer has the luxury of writing the USB driver, so they can interpret the input as they like, not so with this configuration.
