Or was it just a dude with long hair?

Did I see a woman playing on a men's basketball team on TV last night (2/15/08) around 8:30 pm ET? I think it was college ball though I could be mistaken, and I think the team was New Orleans.

The sound was off and I know nothing about sports. The player was caucasian with shoulder-length brown hair and not particularly tall. I tried to find mention of any woman player on the men's team on the UNO website but no luck so far. This has been bugging me all morning and now my girlfriend thinks I'm cuckoo.

The NBA celebrity game was last night at 7pm EST and I believe it was in New Orleans. Here's a list of people who played in the game.

I'm guessing it was the NBA "Celebrity" All-Star game, which was on from 7-9 PM ET last night on ESPN. The NBA's all-star weekend events are in New Orleans this year.

Here's the rosters:
EAST TEAM
David Arquette (“In Case of Emergency”)
Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile)
Nelly (Grammy Award-winning hip hop artist)
Taye Diggs (Rent, Chicago)
Jamie Kennedy (“Jamie Kennedy Experiment”)
Bobby Flay (“Throwdown with Bobby Flay”)
LaDainian Tomlinson (NFL’s San Diego Chargers)
Carrot Top (comedian)
Chris Tucker (comedian)
Katie Smith (WNBA’s Detroit Shock)
Coach: Tim Legler, ESPN analyst
Asst. Coach – James Pickens Jr. (“Grey’s Anatomy”)

WEST TEAM
James Denton ("Desperate Housewives")
Reggie Bush (NFL’s New Orleans Saints)
Donald Faison (“Scrubs”)
Bow Wow (Roll Bounce)
Tony Potts (co-anchor of “Access Hollywood”)
Nick Cannon (Bobby)
Jonathan Silverman (“In Case of Emergency”)
Tamika Catchings (WNBA’s Indiana Fever)
Coach: Greg Anthony, ESPN
Asst. Coach – Wayne Newton (“Grey’s Anatomy”)

Response by poster: Thanks all. After looking at this year's roster and googling the female sounding names, I found who I was looking for: Ruth Riley. It's great to know I'm just clueless and not crazy.
