Recovering Deleted Hotmails

Hotmail... I need to recover some emails, specifically email header information, that was inadvertantly deleted more than one day ago (past the 'trash can' time limit). A list of what I've done so far is enclosed, so [MORE INSIDE]
Oh, what I really need proof that someone emailed me at a previous point in time.
I've got a query into the hotmail account Q&A team, but that is not my first line of offence here, as I'll doubt they'll reply in a timely manner.
I'm going to look at my cache to see the original emails. This is my best bet, I believe, but... Is there any traceable information in the default, non-header view that would provide some sort of ID number that would identify that specific email? There's a bunch of hexa-junk (i.e. 23ef43ecd9543) after the links going to
"by9fd.bay9.hotmail.msn.com" and "curmbox" that may be of use.
Second bet would be to contact hotmail and see what they store that isn't publically accessible. In these days of Echelon and whatnot, I can't believe that they simply junk everything after a day.
Has anyone had any success in contacting hotmail in situations like this? Is it of any use to search for the hexa-junk in my cache?
