Ice Cream Truck Song

OK, so there's this ice cream truck that's been around my block about a dozen or so times in the last hour. It's playing this really obnoxious song that starts/ends with a woman saying 'Hello' and there's a couple of breaks with a horn and a whistle doing 4 consecutive beats. What is this?

I would google, but the thought of y'all suffering along with me with this song in your heads entertains me.

I don't know what the song is, but I've heard it from ice cream trucks before and ... good God, it's awful.

Thanks for the memories. Ugh.

Yoikes, it's in MY neighborhood too -- and we live hundreds of miles apart.

If it's the same -- and the "Hello" sure seems to clinch it -- I vaguely recall the melody being attached to a song having a lyric "she'll be driving six white horses when she comes" repeated several times. Does that help anyone?

I hear that very song/voice/doot-doot-doot every weekend. Making it stranger, the driver is a beautiful deaf woman who spends her summer pointing at Sonic the Hedgehog With Gumball Eye and Mississippi Mudsliede with a questioning look on her face. Oh, and I'm in NE Louisiana, so it must be standard-issue.

Around here the "hello" has nothing to do with the song. It's just there to make you look to see who said hello. Works on kids of all ages until the older kids want to rig up some type of explosive device and destroy the truck once and for all.

Response by poster: Right, that's what part of that song sounds like it, but it's just not quite it

We're definitely not the only ones.

She'll Be Coming Around The Mountain? Isn't that song more common, though? I thought everyone would know what "She'll be riding six white horses when she comes" is from. Maybe I went to a whacky school. FWIW, the fifth link from littlegreenlights's Google search mentions the song name.

Me too.

Yeah, I should have known what it was -- obviously I knew at one point, hence the lyric I could quote -- but my brain wasn't working well earlier. That's what the truck in my neighborhood plays. Not sure if that answers pieoverdone's question...

If it's the same truck in my neighborhood (one driver, one truck, 10 million cones, one continent!), it ain't she'll be come around the mountain.

HELLO! doo... do do, do do do do do do.... ad naseum.

She was comming around the mounting doing 90
When the chain on her motorcycle broke.
She was laying in the grass
with the muffler up her ass
and her tits were playing dixie on the spokes.

The truck in our neighborhood switches between "It's A Small World" and "Yellow Rose Of Texas", in that really high pitched, tinny ice cream truck jingle-style. I have given serious thought to the destruction of that truck.

The Disney lawyers will do that for you, majcher, seeing as that Small World is under copyright.

In the past few days I've actually heard a truck in my neighborhood playing "Für Elise."

I'm in the same neighborhood as pieoverdone, and it's *not* "She'll be comin' 'round the mountain".
