How do I get a snapshot of myself beating up Princess Peach out of the Wii?

How can I get my Photo Channel drawings off of the Wii?

You can easily copy images to the Wii by emailing them or putting them on an SD card. However, moving them in the reverse direction seems impossible. How do you transfer images generated on the Wii (e.g. screenshots or drawings done on the Photo Channel) out of it?
Metroid Baby and I have about a squillion doodles and a picture of our Miis beating up Princess Peach, which we'd like to copy off the Wii.

You can email Wii images, but you can only email them to other Wiis, not external email addresses. I've heard that if you fill up the memory blocks on the Wii, you it'll prompt you to copy stuff off to an SD card, but it'll take forever to fill up the blocks. I don't have any other ideas at the moment.

Apparently you can save your message board data to an SD card. I haven't tried this, so I don't know if it's possible to pluck out individual picture files from that data.

Response by poster: Ooh, this must be something that came with one of the firmware updates. You definitely couldn't do this six months ago. I'll try it out!

Response by poster: So, it turned out you can put the message board data onto an SD card. The thing is, I can't find a utility to read that data right now.
