Is the strap on my Etienne Aigner handbag upside down?

Is the strap on my Etienne Aigner handbag upside down?

The shoulder strap has a seam that faces out. The bag is medium brown with a crocodle texture with brass rings and a zipper top.
Sorry, but I was not able to find a picture online.

This would be a lot easier if you could take some kind of photo of your bag.

Yes, it was from Macy's, on sale.

Why would you think it is upside down? What about it seems upside down?

R. Mutt, do you have a name of the model of handbag, or any further description of the bag? Does it look sort of like any of the bags here?

If the seam is on the outside, could it be made that way purposely so that it doesn't irritate your shoulder?

Response by poster: Thanks for your help. I did find a picture online, and it does
show the seam on the outside. There were other bags of this brand that also had this feature.
