Saw'em do those on Iron Chef. Wolfgang Puck v Morimoto. Very strange; Morimoto almost needed a chainsaw to prep one. posted by RavinDave at 10:11 PM on June 26, 2004
These dudes may or may not have the eggs, but I'm sure they could tell you who does. posted by falconred at 10:18 PM on June 26, 2004
I'll give them a try. Thanks! posted by Smart Dalek at 5:28 AM on June 27, 2004
You might try emu eggs instead, if the recipe isn't specific. They're essentially massive chicken eggs with pretty green shells. posted by Evstar at 7:29 AM on June 27, 2004

Call Gourmet Garage and Balduchi's in SoHo - if they don't have them, they will probably know who does. I have seen Ostrich on plenty of menus here in the city. posted by xammerboy at 2:19 PM on June 27, 2004
I'd go Dean & Deluca before Gourmet Garage for rare foods.
