I'm interested in finding weekend work in NYC. Can anyone steer me in the direction of a good temp agency that might have some sort of focus in that department? posted by josher71 to work & money (2 comments total)

I think your best bet would be to register for as many agencies as you can and ask for weekend work. Temporaries for Nonprofits seems like the most flexible agency I've dealt with. Forrest Solutions isn't on that list but they were really good about getting me work ASAP for short assignments until they could find me longer-term work. With agencies it's often a matter of quantity, not quality--get your resume out there, get registered with a bunch of agencies, and call once a week to see if there's anything like what you're looking for. I have worked at a temp agency, and worked as a temp in NYC for quite a while.
