		<description>mpt may be seeing that error message he describes on his site because the root certificates in NS2.02 have all expired - therefore every site he sees will have an apparently invalid cert. I&apos;m not sure how you would update the root certs in NS2 but that would probably be necessary for anything to work at all, even assuming that 40-bit encryption was supported by the server.</description>

		<description>perhaps you could set the computer&apos;s clock back so that it thinks its CA certs are still valid? and then install an ancient server cert (retrieved from an old backup tape?) on the server.</description>
