Splitting posts

I have a blog and using blogger but the blog is hosted on my own site. I'm having a problem splitting up posts.

The problem I'm having is that I'm using:

Here is the beginning of my post.
span class="fullpost"
And here is the rest of it.
/span
(with <> arrows around the span sections)

to break up long posts into separate pages. Its fine at working the only problem that I'm having is that the "hit the jump" link that brings you to the next page is at the bottom of the post under all the labels and hard to find. Is there a way I can move the "hit the jump" to right under the post and above the labels? I looked at the template but I can't figure out where it would be in there. Heres a link to my blog so you can see what I mean.

I'm not too familiar with the dilemma you're faced with, but whenever I have any blogger questions I turn to this site. I usually have to search the blog, but even when I can't find what I'm looking for, the site's author is great about answer individual inquiries.
