PCVirusFilter: Spyware and "Bridge.dll"

Something is royally screwed with my PC (Windows XP). I had some kind of spyware involving the file "bridge.dll", I found instructions online to get rid of it, but I still have problems. When I reboot, my Quick Launch toolbar is no longer there, and when I use the "Email", "WWW" and other buttons on my Logitech keyboard, it opens up 3 instances of the programs. Adaware and Norton Antivirus turn up nothing. Anything I can do?

Did you look in your control panel in the Add/Remove folder for foreign programs causing the problem?

Yeh, I did. Solved the keyboard problem by installing drivers, but I have NO idea what to do about Quick Launch...there must be something I need to switch somewhere...

Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and point to "Toolbars." Click on "Quick Launch."

That doesn't fix it unfortunatly, as a reboot makes it disappear again!

Seen this on a couple of computers, and another sys admin I know has encountered it. If you have a decent backup you may want to just rebuild. Used all the spyware, trojan, virus removal software etc, even went throught the registry to remove relevant keys, still couldn't get rid of it. I don't know if it's something new, but it's a pain in the a&&. Good luck.

Sorted. Windows System Restore seems to be the only way.

I have had a nasty little bugger playing havoc with my pc for about a week. Adaware, Spybot and AVG all failed to catch it, so I tried Avast, which seems to have done the trick.
