PKU-friendly recipes

Looking for tested, proven dinner recipes for a houseguest with PKU.
Daughter's friend from college has PKU. I'm cooking dinner, and upon researching discover that my vegan recipes aren't going to cut it. There are sites that offer PKU-friendly recipes, but I lack confidence in them, or they require proprietary ingredients. Anyone got some they know are good and can be made from stuff I can get at the local food co-op or grocery store?

Upon googling, I found a bunch of recipes at this site.
But really, I think you should ask the guest his/her preferences and restrictions.

Response by poster: I seem to have done a poor job at expressing my information need. I am familiar with Google. As a general rule I do not trust recipes from medical sites to be flavorful and often they require proprietary ingredients. I do not have access to the guest. So...
Does anyone one have a vegetarian, low-protein recipe that they know from personal observation is good and can be made from generally-available ingredients? If no, that's fine, I can roast up or stir fry some vegetables.

I know your google fu is working and that you only want personal experience... but this page has a LOT of really great suggestions for families of people with PKU so that they can keep dinner from getting boring. Just FYI.
