London Calling?

I'm a geographer looking to move abroad (UK or NZ) for a year or so. Advice?

I am looking to move abroad, most likely to London or Auckland (although I am open to suggestions. I don't speak other languages very well). I am looking for advice on visas/work permits, finding a place to live, and a job. I have a Geography and GIS degree, if that helps, although I'd do pretty much anything. I can't do BUNAC, as I graduated over a year ago. Really, anything you can tell me about any aspect of this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

New Zealand would be happy to have you for up to 12 months.

(I'm an undergrad Geologist looking to do the same thing.)

Where are you moving from? That makes a difference.

The original poster mentioned BUNAC, which only has a major presence in the US and UK. Given that the UK is a target nation, I imagine troika is somewhere stateside.
