Seattle eatery

Seattle eatery for me, spouse, seven-year-old girl this weekend...
We're staying at the Sheraton downtown this weekend and going to the PNB Nutcracker presentation Saturday at 7.
Can anyone recommend something good for dinner besides mall food that we all might enjoy, hopefully near to our hotel?

Wild Ginger is in the heart of Downtown Seattle. It's children and vegetarian friendly. The food is great, pan-asian and a tad pricey. http://www.wildginger.net/ It's where I often take out-of-towners.

Kids love the Spaghetti Factory. At least, I did when I was a kid. (It's downtown, but too far to walk from the Sheraton I think)

Response by poster: Thanks all. SB - I've G-mapped all your recs for reference. I know we'll love Crow after reading about it and I've already planned my earlybird stroll to TopPot with my daughter. Thanks again - great references.

Best answer: Walk down to Pike Market and you'll have several choices. Grab a 1/2 dozen of the little donuts that you can watch them make. Then, head to Lowell's. It's got a great view. My kids like the pancakes so much that now they ask if they can have "Seattle Pancakes" again sometime.

Best answer: I would second the vote for the Pink Door.... great food, and a really fun ambiance. And some nights (I'm not sure when... maybe check the website), they have a trapeze artist swinging around on the ceiling... very cool, and probably a lot of fun for a 7-year old.
Flying Fish in Belltown (probably a 20 minute walk, or an easy cab ride) is also a fantastic restaurant. One of my favorite places in the city-- seafood with a sort of asian fusion kick. The food is really really good, and it is fairly high energy, so probably a better place for a kid.
Enjoy your weekend!

One ding against the Pink Door- doesn't it have a burlesque show on Saturday nights? Might not be the best thing for a 7-year-old... Wild Ginger is fantastic, and their satay menu or the amazing squash and yam soup are really affordable yet filling, but it may be for more of a discerning palate than a typical 7-year-old has.
Not far from your hotel is Icon Grill, which I think would be kid-friendly, food wise: they serve fairly tasty "home cooking comfort food" things like "Pasquetti" or meatloaf or fried chicken or mac and cheese. Plus, if you are eating after the ballet, you can finish off your meal by splitting their famous ginormous sundae- it's a sight and taste to behold!!!

There are tons more nearby, hopefully someone else can comment on the seven-year-old girl aspect of this question as I do not have children. (Note that the walk from your hotel to the Pike Place Market might be a little much for a little girl at night, you'll pass through heroin alley: Pike between 1st and 2nd)
