Open source spreadsheets for the excel-challenged December 18, 2007 12:13 PM Subscribe
Looking for open source spreadsheet templates I can use commercially (if it comes to that) for recipes, fitness programs and the like. Why? Because my excel skills suck.
Spreadsheets can be "open source"? How does that work? (Not sarcasm.) posted by Mikey-San at 12:29 PM on December 18, 2007
Um right Mikey. Maybe gpl'd is what I mean. Free for commercial usage. posted by cameron.case at 12:39 PM on December 18, 2007
I'm guessing you've already seen microsoft's templates? If you search for "fitness" or "recipe" you'll get many results. I wasn't able to tell for sure what their licensing scheme for the templates is, but I'm pretty sure they're free for anybody to use. posted by escher at 2:35 PM on December 18, 2007
Commercial in what way...? If you're just going to sell (perhaps modified) open source documents, there's at least a consideration of the license terms and possibly an ethical issue. posted by tmcw at 2:59 PM on December 18, 2007
