What were the last films to be released in the VHS format in the UK and USA?

I believe that the first film to be released on DVD in the UK was Batman & Robin (no really) but I've always wondered what the last film to the be released on the commercial VHS format was, and particularly panned and scanned. I hope it was something good.

According to imdb.com, A History of Violence "has the distinction of being the last major Hollywood movie to be released in the VHS format."

Response by poster: 'A History of Violence' -- that seems like just the right title go out on -- good sense of history literally. I mean it's a Cronenberg!

Any ideas about in the UK?

Phil -- except that if you look at that list the vast percentage are dvds and the rest seem to be back catalogue refreshes.

I have no facts on this, but the quotation "the last ... released in the VHS format" *may* refer to a movie being released *direct* to video and not theatrically. It doesn't rule out there being other films having a theatrical release and then being released on VHS more recently than "History of Violence." Again, I have no facts, but it's something to consider if your question is important to you. Good luck.
