What is Comoros like?

What is there to see and do in Comoros? Has anyone been there? What is the social climate like?

I'm interested in ecological sights as well as nightlife and culture. Personal recommendations are preferred, but any other information you can point me to would be awesome as well.

Bonus if you can advise me on any cultural dos and donts (I realise that the country is Islamic).

For some (very interesting) history on the Comoros I recommend you read Last of the Pirates by S.Weinberg about the famous French mercenarty Bob Denard.
