The IT Bar Is Open!
December 4, 2007 9:29 AM   Subscribe

We got some new stools for our IT workbench area and we were joking that we should start an "IT bar". We came up with some drink names that might fit in (or not) such as: "USBeer", "Windows Vista Premium Lager", "Blue Motorcycle Screen of Death" and "The Rebooter".

Okay, that last is a bit unappetizing, considering various meanings of the verb "to boot", but you get my drift.

Any other suggestions to help us get our IT drink on?

The Old Perl

Basic Beer

The Incipient Lisp (pretty strong stuff)

Captain Hacker

You'll probably want some named, caffeinated drinks for those brief breaks just after the system crashes and before the long night of fixing stuff.

Streaming Orgasm is genius.

Parallel Port (or whatever as long as there's port in it),
Hard Reboot or Soft Reboot (with or without alcohol),
Long Island IT,
Hex on the Beach,

You should call your new drinking hole 'The Menu Bar'.

Oh, come on, you guys can do better than 'The IT Bar."

I'd suggest "The Menu Bar," "The Space Bar," or "The Taskbar."

What if it's a linux bar? You could call it /usr/pub .
