Trader Joe's Spicy Black Bean Dip recipe?

I've been introduced to Trader Joe's Spicy Black Bean Dip and I absolutely love it; problem is that I live in Canada and can't buy it!
So, I've decided the best alternative is to make it. Does any one have a recipe for it? The ingredients (in order) are: Black Beans, Water, Tomato Paste, Onions, Distilled Vinegar (From Corn), Honey, Salt, Jalapenos, Spices, Garlic. The Nutritional information (if that somehow helps) is available at Spark People
I really can't imagine that this is all that difficult. You can test out different combinations of the ingredients, but the basic rule would be "to taste"...I've made my own dip many times, starting with a can of black beans and adding things like garlic, salt, sugar, etc. The real question is the "spices" in the dip. Never tasted the stuff myself, but cumin is a good bet -- beans LOVE cumin!

I clicked on gum's link and did not find one recipe for the dip. I'm assuming that is what was adequate about the recipes.

Response by poster: @ Argyle - that's super nice of you, but I've really shifted gears in consuming this stuff, I wish they sold bigger jars! I'll let you know if that's what it comes to...

Well, I looked on Top Secret Recipes, but they only have Frito's Bean Dip. If you can get access to the non-online versions (it was a book phenomenon long before it was a website) at a library or something, you might be able to grab it off of that.
Also worth considering is doing the Google search for "top secret recipes" or the like and then going to those websites and seeing if they have it.
Or, you know, write to Trader Joe's and see if they can help. If you're in a place where they don't sell, they might be more sympathetic and willing to help.

I work for the company, and it does seem to be among the similar items (con queso cheese dip, black bean & corn salsa) that have been discontinued. I know it's not a super fast selling item, so if you are going to take someone up on the care package idea, I would do it sooner than later. We have a "soon to be discontinued" list, so if I see it on there anytime soon, I'll post back here.
