Name that composer!

I was listening to a lovely piece of music by a composer who I think was from about the 15th or 16th century. I thought the name sounded like Joscan Dupre but either my spelling is woeful or I have remembered the name incorrectly because searching has yielded nothing! If I have remembered the name poorly, then I have given very little information to go on.

If you're sure it sounded like Joscan Dupre, pearlybob is indeed right... Josquin des Prez is the only close match.

I learned the spelling as Josquin Desprez (as this site indicates), in case that extra space affects your Google searches).

Note, as the wikipedia entry does, that he is usually referred to as just Josquin and is often shelved in B&M music stores under J and not P or D.
