I recall seeing a page about making a slipstreamed installation cd for xp similar to these. 1 2 The difference is that the one I'm looking for also showed you how to include applications with it as well as updates and service packs. I think it was linked to off of AskMe, MeFi, or Slashdot. Sadly, my Google-fu was not strong enough to find the page. Anybody know the page I'm talking about or know how to do what I'm talking about?

Are you thinking of Bart's Preinstalled Environment? It's not an installation CD in the way the two you link are, but a complete, (with troubleshooting applications), stand-alone Windows-on-a-disc. It's saved my techie reputation, (and a heap of heartbreak), twice now.

The thing I'm thinking of was for making an installation cd. It showed how to include applications in it as a way to make it quicker to format/reinstall XP. Or at least that's the benefit I'd like to get out of it.

Don't know if it's what you're looking for but I made a swell boot disc from some utilities at bootdisk.com. Seems as if it cost two or three dollars. Nothing really. Works great. As I recall (and I could be wrong) there were instructions to include aps, etc.

On review, what mindless said.

I'm a little late to the party here, so I hope you're still looking at this page, but I think what you're looking for is probably MSFN's Unattended XP CD. It takes a while to get everything tweaked and tuned, but once you do, it's a great timesaver.
