My friend and I were wondering about the exaggerated artwork on old Trapper Keepers. He recalls seeing some sports-themed pieces by the same artist. It's quite a detailed, caricature sort of style. Anyone know who did them?

I believe that's the work of Mark Fredrickson (some portfolios of newer work)

Re: his exaggerated perspective, quoted in a blurb about a Mad magazine cover he did: "I was experimenting with distortion as a means of heightening the drama in a scene"

I couldn't confirm it via web search, but I'm pretty sure that Mr. Fredrickson did cover art for whatever company published the Sunday school materials I was given as a teen in a Pentecostal church back in the nineties.

He also did the cover for (MeFite) Charlie Stross' The Atrocity Archives. Perhaps he can get in touch with the artist more easily than we can.
