How can we get these wooden blinds to fit in our windows?

We purchased these blinds from IKEA and they are exactly 23" wide with the mounts at the top.

The problem is that our windows are 21 1/4" wide.

Is there any hope for getting these to fit? I'm really not sure what options to look in to besides returning them.

Ah, typo. The windows are actually 22 1/4"...so we're 3/4" short.

Mount 'em on the trim so the blind covers the outside of the window opening.
It's called an Outside Mount.

Well, we'd either do an inside mount or we'd return them and get some others. Doing an outside mount isn't really what we're going for.

If you don't want to do an outside mount, you should probably return them.
You can get wood blinds cut-to-fit at any big-box home store (aka Home Depot or Lowes)

You could potentially cut these down a little bit. It looks like the housing for the mechanism is metal. If you cut maybe 5/8" from each end with a hacksaw without influencing the works inside or the mounts, you could then trim the wooden slats with a fine tooth saw and get them to fit. Could be a lot of work and getting custom blinds could be 'cheaper' in the long run.
