Cheapest way to find decent tickets to Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York?

I am going to New York next Thursday-Sunday and really want to see the Christmas show at Radio City... this will only be my second time to New York, so I was looking for some 'insider' tips on how to efficiently buy tickets. I heard that for Broadway shows you can go the day of and get 1/2 tickets... is that the case for this as well? Or do they sell out in advance?

Also, any other tips for two twentysomething females doing the New York at Christmas-time tourist thing are more than welcome! (Bar recs, must see's, etc.)

The TKTS booth offers discounted tickets for some Broadway and off-Broadway shows day of. Last week, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular was at the booth, although that does not mean it was there every day (I'm guessing it was not), or that it will be there every day going forward.

Keep in mind most of the Broadway shows are on strike, so as the holidays get closer, I really doubt that Radio City won't sell out.

TKTS!!!!

show up earlier in the day (i think they open at 2) and wait in line. Its random what tickets they have, but you will get 25-50% off. I have used tkts 3 or 4 times and been pretty happy.

Oh yea, only go to the times square one, the south street seaport area only gets a couple of really crappy tickets
