Remote Control Code

I'm looking for the remote control code for a Philips/Magnavox MDV560 VR DVD/VCR combo.

I'm looking for the remote control code for a Philips/Magnavox MDV560 VR DVD/VCR combo to use with my universal remote control. I haven't been able to find a working code anywhere. I know the universal remote works, and the DVD/VCR works well too so I probably just need the right code.

Most universal remotes have a code search function that involves the power button. You keep hitting power (or whatever the case may be) until your device turns on.

Also, the type of remote you have would probably be useful information.
