Does anyone know of a program available for Mac OS X that can read the Media ID of a DVD-R? I have tried MissingMediaBurner and even DVDINFOPro under Virtual PC, but neither one gives any info.

I'm afraid Mac The Ripper doesn't know a damned thing about media -- in fact, it doesn't even know what a DVD-R drive is.

cdrecord ought to work.
