Suggestions for a Thanksgiving breakfast.

The motherboard and I are sharing the holiday with our microchip. I have the morning, she has the evening. I would like to have a "traditional" meal with all the fixin's...

I am currently planning:
Turkey-apple sausage
Sweet-potato pancakes
Cranberry muffins
Fruit

Yum... sounds good. :)

I have the cooking duties for the day so for breakfast I generally don't get too carried away.

Bagels and cream cheese.
Cranberry-raisin muffins (making those tonight)
Whipped Omelete with sausage, cheese, and mushrooms.
Juice, coffee and Mimosa's

For the omelete, I whip the egg whites fluffy and then fold them in. Makes it a little less heavy.

Besides, already have the mixer out for the mashed potatoes later. :)

I might do biscuits with sausage gravy. Put the turkey in the sausage gravy, and I would put some fresh-roasted chestnuts in there as well. For the biscuits, you might do one cranberry and one sweet potato on each plate. I would probably "stuff" the biscuits with cranberries and sweet potato so that covers the stuffing part of turkey-day. Otherwise, cranberry juice instead of cranberry muffins. Instead of fruit, pumpkin parfait: yoghurt with layers of fresh-baked pumpkin puree, chestnut puree (you can buy at a good supermarket) and cinnamon -- and a little sugar.

HOWEVER, my favorite thanksgiving breakfast is pumpkin pie straight-up, and I wouldn't be surprised if that would please the microchip as well.

what about eggs? i once had an omelette with diced ham, cheddar, and dried cranberries. it was super.

alternatively, some fried eggs to go over those sweet-potato pancakes would be deeeeelish.

Pumpkin pie straight up is a lot better drowned in whipped cream and walnuts. It's also more formal.
