I really like ffffound, but the invites are really hard to get. Are there any similar alternatives?

I know many other "cool pics" sites, but I like the design/art focus in ffffound. I'm also interested in the community features, which I can't get with a regular blog or tumble.

With the exception of personalized recommendations and posting abilities, I don't think you're missing out on a lot by not having an account at ffffound.

I found another site: Pimpvisual. Anybody can post. It has poster, photography, art, and design subsites. I'm not too fond of the whore/pimp concept, though.
