email alarms no longer work in version 3 of iCal (leopard) and the info drawer is gone. What to do? Is there another good Calendar ap to switch to?

Info drawer is now a 2x click.

Email alarms still work.

Regarding the email alarms, yes you can set them, but I did not receive the reminder on a couple test events I just set up.

A tip in dealing with the annoying new iCal info popup thingy:

Select the event, then use the Command+e key combo to invoke the event info in edit mode.

Apple really wrung a whole ton of Leopard through some kind of UI suckiness filter, IMO. This is one of many things that got squeezed out.

The info drawer is still there, but it's now annoying to open.

And what happened to two-way syncing with Google calendars? Wasn't that supposed to be in here somewhere? Grumble.

I don't think the turtlenecked one ever promised two-way Google Calendar sync, if i'm not mistaken.

He did promise two way iCal sync...through iCal Server. Not exactly the solution everyone needs, Mr. Jobs.

Until then, Spanning Sync does a near perfect job of syncing my iCal with Google Calendars, bidirectionally.
