Help me create a craigslist type board for my company

I have been assigned to create a craigslist-like community board for my company's internal website. The basic idea is to have a place for 100+ employees to post classifieds, events, etc. The only problem is I have limited (no) web database knowledge or experience. Is there any kind of community board templates or software that can be easily set up?

It seems that Vanilla doesn't have a classified plugin; AJ Classified via hotscripts.com might be a possability.
