I have searched and searched in vain: Is there anywhere I can get browser stats that tell me the OS and the browsers as a percentage (instead of one or the other)? Alternatively, is there anywhere I can find browsers -- including sub-releases (5.0, 5.1, etc) -- as a percentage?

While I love The Counter for re-instating their stats, I need more granularity, so to speak.

Has anyone used a for-pay service that offers what I need?

Have you checked AWStats?

Is this what you need? Extreme tracking is free. I have AWStats as well, I'd recommend it as a 'pay-for' system.

NedStats provides this sort of information. It's a counter though, so you have to stick a (rather unobtrusive) picture on your website. (As demonstrated)
