How to donate Internets?

How can I donate Internet access to a family whose computer I'm going to set up?

I'm going to set up a computer at the home of some Burundian refugees who've just settled here in Austin, and I'd like to get them hooked up to the Internet, but I want to be able to pay for the connection in a lump sum (say, for a year), so they don't have to deal with it. What are some suggestions on the best way to manage this?

Get a local ISP to donate it. Big publicity. Nice guys always finish first... your slogan here.

What's the problem? There's an ISP somewhere who won't let you pay for a year at once?

Have you checked with austin free wireless. You might be able to get in touch with some folks there, and for the cost of getting the equipment setup to either join or extend their current network, you could set them up with free internet for life*.

(also, it would be a great PR move for the austin wifi folks).

Prismnet.com is local for you and a year of dial-up is about $150. They also have broadband available. My brother and I have both had good service from them for years.
