Booking international travel...how?

Is there an international version of sidestep?

I'm trying to price several flights that neither originate or terminate in the United States. Unfortunately this knocks out several of my favorite flight searching sites. Kayak and Expedia seem to be able to find some flights but the prices they bring back are super super high. Any suggestions for international bargain hunting? I'm particularly interested in finding flights in and out of Bangladesh, China, Italy, and the Czech Republic.

I'm pretty sure ITA software can be used for international flights.

ITA software won't let you book.

You want local sites/agents. For example, for flights originating in China, elong.net and ticket.9588.com will be just about impossible to beat domestically and often have good international deals. In most of SE Asia and Australia you also want to see zuji.com.hk (the local version of travelocity).

I'm fairly certain that Kayak will do it

Slightly different advice -- Try pricing with travel agents (even if located in the US) who specialize in travel in that part of the world. I've had really great luck with IACE Travel for Japan and Shama Travel for India -- often getting flights to/from (and within) those countries at much lower than any Internet-advertised rates. I have no idea why this is the case for international travel -- within the US, Kayak's never led me astray. Good luck!
