How to create a marketing list in Australia

Any ideas how to generate a list of manufacturing companies over 100 employees in Australia, without paying a list broker for an outdated use-once call list?

How about using Amazon's Mechanical Turk, here

You can create simple piecemeal tasks, and you put a price on each "chunk" or HIT. Often it gets used for the kind of task you're describing.

The task needs to be broken up into manageable chunks, such as "Companies beginning with A with more than 100 employees in town X"

But have a look see. And see what it looks like.

Not exactly what you're after, but perhaps Austrade could help. They might be able to refer you on if they can't help.
