More on the physics of zombification

28 days/weeks later. Why don't the infected kill each other? How can the infection take hold so fast? (The FPP on the physics of zombies got me thinking . . .)

If they attacked each other, the movie would have been over in 2 minutes when the guys in the lab ate each other while security locked the building down.
If you demand some kind of logic, think of it like in "the Screwfly Solution" (which if you haven't read, is short and will fuck you up).
