InDesignFilter: 'Export' defaults randomly changing from PDF to TXT. WTF?

Very often as I save PDFs in InDesign, the default in the 'Export' dialogue box comes up as TXT rather than PDF. I've never saved anything as TXT, so am confused and frustrated by this. What gives? Can I fix this somehow?

If you have your cursor in a text box when you export, the program assumes you want to export text and defaults to txt. If you click off any boxes, PDF should come up first.

Although I really think Export to PDF needs to be its own menu option, complete with keystroke. Few art the times we actually wish to export InDesign styled text to .txt.
