This is why I don't like maintaining other people's webpages

I didn't design this page, but I'm now maintaining it. Why does the shaded gray box on the right appear halfway down the page in IE, but right where it should in Firefox? I think it was designed in Dreamweaver, but I'm not sure. How can I fix this?

That right column -- the one that contains the image and the gray area -- has two rows in it (the large left area has rowspan=2). I'd suggest consolidating the two rows into one. That may solve your problem, but it will at least simplify the layout a bit. You can set the background color of the whole column to the gray color, and (with CSS, Photoshop, or even another nested table if you must) add the white border to the image if you want.

I've seen this type of problem before, and this type of solution has helped.

And get Firebug for firefox - which lets you view and edit the code as you're checking the page - incredibly helpful for isolating problems like this.
