So many angsty thirteen year olds want to be my friend.

Myspace? Yuck. But I need to auto approve friends for the nonprofit where I work. All the programs I've seen to do this look like they're written by twelve year olds and/or are three day trials. Recommendations?

I feel like MeFi may not really have a high concentration of myspace users, but I could be wrong. In any case, I have two thousand friend requests that need to be accepted (our cause is somewhat in vogue). Macros fail, and rather than download all the free trials out there I thought I'd ask here.

It seems like auto-accepting friends should be an option built in to Myspace, but given how horribly designed the site is overall, I don't know why I'm surprised. Or maybe it's there and I'm just blind.

No help here, but I want to say that I agree with everything you stand for in this question, and am hoping there is an answer out there because in the very near future I will be in the same boat.

Could you get an intern to do it? I get lots of porn spam friend requests on myspace and your non-profit might not want to be friends with porn spam. Which is to say there might be reasons to make it not be automatic.

I had to do this for work, too. I put hacked up a terrible script with Applescript. It requires Safari and a Mac that you're not going to use (or at least browse with) while it's running. If you have both these things, my email's in my profile.

Response by poster: I'd feel bad giving it to an intern. I was just searching some more and someone mentioned asking myspace to set your account to auto approve.

@hooray: If only I was on a Mac at work...

Thanks.
