How many people have earned a college-level or higher degree entirely online in a recent year?

Looking for a jaw-dropping statistic on the number of online degrees earned. Could be "Americans" or "world-wide." Could be "total degrees earned" or "degrees earned in 2006 (or some other recent year)." Could also be "number of students enrolled in online degree programs." Thanks!

When I looked previously, I came to the Sloan Consortium. They just came out with a new report about online learning. I see a lot of degree references and percentages, but nothing specifically that seems to directly answer your question.

I was going to suggest you call them a few weeks ago when you asked this question, and since there has been no reply, I highly suggest you do so.
